The Hilltoppers took both squads on the road in an effort to continue their run into their respective County Tournaments. The Varsity Squad took on #3 Cranford and despite their best efforts, the team came out on the losing end with a 25-11, 25-12 loss. The team trailed early and was never much of a threat in set 1 as Summit had a hard time generating any offense and fell 25-11. The second set saw the Hilltoppers close to within 1 at 10-11 but another major Cranford run took care of any momentum gained by the Hilltoppers and the team succumbed 25-12.
Julianne Smolyn tacked on 9 digs to her season total. Kathleen Morano led the way with 5 kills offensively.
The JV Squad fought hard but also fell in their county match by a 2-0 score after a 25-11, 25-10 set result.
