As the squad looks to the Labor Day weekend for some rest, there is one more match to play on Friday in preparation for the upcoming season against the Highlanders of Governor Livingston. In the meantime, Summit's own Varsity and Junior Varsity Squads have completed 3 scrimmages and the 9th Graders have competed in two of them.
The Ninth Grade Team did not drop a set versus Cedar Grove and took one of three versus Ridge.
Junior Varsity swept Cedar Grove, dropped both sets to Kent Place and bounced back to take two of three from Ridge.
Meanwhile, Varsity went two of three against Cedar Grove, took one from Kent Place and took one again from Ridge. These were opponents who swept the Hilltoppers a year ago rather easily.
