The 9th Grade Squad continued to rely on consistent serving and passing to finish the week off on a 3-0 win streak to extend their winning streak to 9 consecutive wins as the squad continues to roll through the opposition.
The team began its run at Elizabeth and faced a tremendous challenge as the Minutewomen matched the Hilltoppers in serving and defensive play but at the closing stages of each set, it was the Summit squad that kept their serving perfect and closed out each set with key passing and timely hits to walk away with the 2-0 win.
Next, the young SHS squad took on Hanover Park and the result was much less dramatic as the team dominated from the service line and took control of each set early and never looked back in a 2-0 sweep of the Hanover Park Hornets.
The Team finished off the week with the Plainfield Cardinals on Friday and in the first set, SHS never even made it through 6 rotations as the team took set one easily as the Cardinals young players could not deal with the Top's service attack. The second set was more of the same as the Hilltoppers controlled the match from the service line not allowing the Cardinals any respite.

This week, 9th graders face off against Hanover Park again at home on Tuesday.
